[tex-live] Location of Lua binary extension modules

$SELFAUTOLOC is the directory where the binaries are located. Have
you considered amending this setting so that the search path
includes the standard TEXMF trees? It seems to be the only search
path that is outside the standard TDS hierarchies.

The purpose of CLUAINPUTS (as Taco and I had discussed it) to have a
place for dynamically loaded libraries. Those are always
platform-specific by their nature. Therefore they have to be under
bin/, not in the platform-independent trees.

There is also something weird going on with the kpsewhich interface
concerning Lua extension modules: kpsewhich -show-path clua does not
show the expanded value of CLUAINPUTS.

Yes, that output is weird. I'll look. Meanwhile, kw -show-path .dll
or .so looks like the expected output.
