I'm not worrying. I only commentend on 
 
    "old, deprecated packages (e.g. inputenc/fontenc for LaTeX)", 

as it shows a common misunderstanding. Quite a lot people put
inputenc and fontenc in one basquet and declare that both packages
shouldn't be used with unicode engines. But while it is correct that
the package inputenc shouldn't be used, in the case of fontenc only
some of the font encodings are deprecated or problematic.
