[tex-live] Hi! I don't arrive to build texlive from the source, could you help me?

Does "and can tell you they just work ``out of the box''." mean that
it can be installed under a different directory and without rooting?

Yes, I followed what was said in the README file, I'm not sure that I
didn't make a mistake, but It seems to me that no.
