At first it took very long time before Martin Vogel replied at all and
before he did the main question was interpretation of sentence "you
are free to distribute the zip": whether that only meant the zip as a
whole or also parts of it. Since OFL was mentioned, fonts were
considered OK, but PDF was questionable. After a long time Martin
finally replied that distributing PDF along with the fonts was OK and
that this was also his intention. Of course, presence of sources was a
completely different issue altogether.

I realized that it is trivial to copy-paste from PDF to Word (which
would result in equally well faked document as if one would do it with
TeX). Tables remain tables, font names can be kept etc. However there
is one major problem - I'm unable to get the font to work at all, even
if I start from blank document, and I tried with both MS and
LibreOffice. Maybe it works under different OSes, I don't know. I
would have *exactly* the same problem if I had the original document -
I would be unable to reproduce anything resembling the final PDF from
source, so even if we had the source, it would be there exactly for
one purpose: to serve the legal satisfaction of having the source and
nothing else.
