I know. But the instructions for developers of where to put the
resulting binaries assumes a structure with a Master directory - how is
that directory structure created, unless by the regular installation of
TexLive?

Yup, I feel that exact pain... ;)

It's definitely past the prime here in the city (which is warmer than in
the mountains and countryside) - some blossoms left, but mostly leaves.
We didn't join an ohanami party ourselves this year, but the building we
live in is right next to a reasonably-sized park that has lots of
sakura, so we have enjoyed the flowers every day (I can even see them
from the window by my computer). The only downside is when a late-night
party includes karaoke or other loud sounds, which happened last
Saturday night when we were trying to get to sleep early (my husband
pastors a church, so Sundays are early mornings for us). But we love
where we live.
