[tex-live] Texworks fail but I can compile pdf though texlive by using commands

Hi,

I just updated my ubuntu to 12.10, and found the texworks didn't work any
more. The error message is like this:

This is pdfTeX, Version 3.1415926-2.4-1.40.13 (TeX Live 2012/Debian)

restricted \write18 enabled.

(Fatal format file error; I'm stymied)


However, I can compile tex file into pdf by using commands in terminal like
 "pdflatex sample2e" . I


The paths setting is fine I guess. Besides,  fmtutil-sys --all won't help.
