[tex-live] Texworks fail but I can compile pdf though texlive by using commands

Here are some lines missing.

I guess you do:
* set the PATH in your .bashrc or so
* start TeX Works from the GUI/Window Manager Menu

Since the window manager does *NOT* have the adjusted PATH set
it will not find the /usr/local/texlive/2012/bin/i386-linux/pdftex
but uses /usr/bin/pdftex.

You can configure TeX Works to add more path by 
- click on "Edit" in the menu bar
- select "Preferences"
- select the "Typesetting" tab in the TeXworks Preferences window
- click on the big + to the right of the upper list
- navigate and select /local/texlive/2012/bin/i386-linux/
- move it above all the other items with the up arrow
- click on Ok

That should work.

But is all guessing.
