Hi Stephan,
did you try to contact Brooks Moses already?

IMO there are too many LaTeX packages already and I fear that nobody
(except Robin) is aware of all of them. It's highly desirable to
avoid a separate package whenever possible.

Many books about LaTeX mention the listings package already. I'm sure
that users who need the package also read the documentation provided
by the package. But they are not aware of listings-lua.

Furthermore, it's definitely not good if packages on CTAN are not
actively maintained any more. If you are willing to take over
maintenance, that would be great. However, according to LPPL you can
do that if the current maintainer agrees or if he's unreachable.

Even if your stuff can't be part of the TL-2013 DVD because it takes
too much time to find out whether Brooks Moses isn't reachable at all
(you have to ask on all relevant mailing lists and usenet groups at
least), it's much more important IMO to have only one package and, if
necessary, a new maintainer.

Regards,
  Reinhard
