By the way, I can only get the CV demo to run: the other two require
non-standard classes. I can cut down to:

\documentclass[nologo]{europecv}
\usepackage[utf8]{luainputenc}

\begin{document}

\begin{europecv}{}

\end{europecv}{}

\end{document}

and I know broadly where the issue comes from: changes to inputenc. You
can test that by compiling with last year's inputenc.sty in the
directory with the above: it should work.
