    Is there a why dynamic is prefered?

It's my understanding that statically linking libc has a significant
chance of running afoul of different kernel versions.  A worse problem
than systems not having libc.  Yours is just about the first GNU/Linux
we've had reports on where our binaries don't work.

If you or anyone succeeds in creating binaries, we'd be happy to
distribute them, one way or another.
