[tex-live] \"\i causes problems with texlive 2015

Thank you all for your engagement. But you did not focus on my problem so
far. The reason may be that I did not properly describe the problem. So let
me try once again.


   1. I do not have the slightest problem with ï when using it in the body
   of a "normal" TeX-file.
   2. The problem occurs ONLY if I am using ï in the entry of a BiB-file.
   Then the following happens with texlive 2015. (It did not happen with
   texlive 2014.)
      - Typeset the TeX-File. Ok - no problem.
      - Run BiB. Ok - no problem.
      - Typeset the TeX-File once again with the bib-file included. And
      exactly this produces the error Unicode char \u8:̈ not set up for use
      with LaTeX.
      - Looking on the pdf-file shows an i like \i (without the point over
      it).
