[tex-live] \"\i causes problems with texlive 2015

I was able to isolate the problem a few minutes ago. Biblatex generates the
ï in an unusable code. If you change the problematic letter in the BiB-file
manually and then typeset the tex-file once again, everything goes without
problems. This is of course not a viable solution. So the problem is
Biblatex and nothing else. Lutz.
