  Carles,

You don't have to post photos ... and 8MB ones at that.
Your text description is more than adequate. I'm just shocked
sometimes at how the younger generations are so unaware of
of the amount of computational resources/bandwidth they
often marshall for even the most simple of tasks. They
used to say a picture is worth - nay "costs" - a thousand
words, but today I think tens of millions is more apt.

Anyway the error is "access denied" - that ps_view tries to
create a temporary file in a directory which the user does
not have access permission. This could be do to:

  1. a needed temp subdirectory has not been created
  2. the user has not been granted needed access permissions
  3. ps_view is set to use an incorrect temp directory

This has been a known problem under Vista and affects
applications other than PS_view:

http://www.vistax64.com/vista-security/96380-acrobat-distiller-error-acrobat-8-1-vista.html

The post by Paul Smith Guest for the Acrobat Reader 8.1 problem
may also work in your case - run PS_view with admin rights once
to create the temp folder and then alter its permission rights
as/if needed.

And aren't MS Windows error messages great? - as if it would
kill them to display the actual path for the access that
resulted in the error.

Anyone happen to know what temp path PS_view uses?

  Cheers,

  Mike Shell
