[tex-live] LaTeX 2016/02/01 or fontspec issue?

Hi all,

The following test file fails with new LaTeX 2016/02/01 and fontspec
2.5a: the latin letters are properly typeset in Latin Modern but the
symbols (punctuation signs, etc.) are typeset in FandolSong-Regular.

\usepackage{xeCJK}
\usepackage[english]{babel}
\begin{document}

I report here because I am not sure it is a LaTeX/fontspec/xeCJK issue.
I suspect LaTeX or fontspec as this test file compiled properly with
LaTeX 2015/10/01 and fontspec 2.4.
