[tex-live] LaTeX array lists

Hi

Lets say I have a couple of cars which have a name, a color and a
picture. I've created a table showing the name, color and picture of a car.

I wrapped a command around it and the result:

\listcar{Name}{Color}{path to picture}

Then I want to create an overview containing the names and the color of
all cars included in the document.

I started with my own table/list of things using the package tocloft.

Then I want to customized the layout, I don't need the dots and the page
number.

But this seems very complicated. Is it possible to create an array /
list and add dynamically strings to it, similar to \addcontentsline?

My Goal is to add the Car name and color to a list / array and iterate
afterwards.

Thanks a million.

Cheers
Ch1rs
