[tex-live] xcolor broken with pdflatex

apparently I should because there simply isn't anymore a pdftex.def on my installation...

(sorry for not complete report but I am doing other things with latex compilation as a side thing once in a while and I currently can not investigated too much the latex problems, reverted to TL2015 for my immediate needs)

after a compilation failed and kpsewhich pdftex.def reported nothing quick try:

$ ls /usr/local/texlive/2016/texmf-dist/tex/latex/graphics
ls: /usr/local/texlive/2016/texmf-dist/tex/latex/graphics: No such file or directory

$ ls /usr/local/texlive/2015/texmf-dist/tex/latex/graphics
color.sty    dvipsone.def graphics.sty pctex32.def  tcidvi.def
dvipdf.def   dviwin.def   graphicx.sty pctexhp.def  trig.sty
dvips.def    emtex.def    keyval.sty   pctexps.def  truetex.def
dvipsnam.def epsfig.sty   lscape.sty   pctexwin.def


but in backups I see (extract)
