[tex-live] last-minute update to xetex?

Hi Karl,

I realize the sources for TL'16 were supposed to be final a couple of
weeks ago, but as always..... is there a possibility of a last-minute
update, or are we too late?

Specifically, in response to a recent request on the mailing list:

   http://tug.org/pipermail/xetex/2016-March/026542.html

I have just proposed a change (it's currently on a sourceforge branch,
but could be merged to master at any time) to make the max hyphenatable
word length user-adjustable. The default remains 63 chars (for stability
of existing documents), but I've added a parameter
\XeTeXhyphenatablelength that can be adjusted by the author (there's a
hard limit of 4K, which should be enough for the foreseeable future...)

So, can we consider committing this to TL svn to be part of this year's
release, or are we too far along already?

JK
