[tex-live] texinfo not happy with texlive not producing log?

How come is it not good? There are 4 GB worth of packages. Why is downloading 
that not good? If you want a small selection, you should select a smaller 
selection using the interactive scripts, but then, often, you will have to 
install a package in between when you need it anyway. So, by default, it is 
full.
