[tex-live] Compatibility matrix for GLIBC for Linux

Hi,

I would like to suggest creating a small GLIBC/GLIBCXX lcompatibility
table for different versions of different Linux distributions. Plus
the list of available compilers (and maybe the difference based on
which compiler is being used).

I volunteer to collect the data together, but it would help if someone
(Karl, Norbert?) would tell how exactly to test and then we could
collect some statistics. Maybe Nelson would be willing to provide the
output of some simple tests files from various exotic machines, but
getting data from some common Debian/Ubuntu/CentOS machines should be
doable without too much effort.

This would be useful in the future for:
- picking the most suitable OS to do the builds on
- knowing in advance which OSes will be compatible with it.
