`dvips: Font io not found, using cmr10 instead.' Run gftopk io.600gf, to create io.600pk. dvips does not read gf files. (xdvi does, which is why it works in there.) (In some circumstances it will autocreate them, but for you it will be simpler to just create it yourself.) HTH, k
