[texhax] Enlarging TeX

    ! TeX capacity exceeded, sorry [save size=5000].

1) Set the environment variable "save_size" to a larger value, for
   instance (sh syntax):
save_size=9999; export save_size
   I'm not sure what absolute maximum there might be.

2) Create a texmf.cnf in the document directory that says:
save_size = 9999
   I'm not entirely sure this will work without other side effects.

3) Edit the texmf.cnf that is getting read (something like
   .../texmf/web2c/texmf.cnf, you can use ls -ltu to find out) and
   change the value of save_size there.

4) use another method to create the pdf files.
