[texhax] Typesetting Greek text

I am having difficulty typesetting Greek text.

Symptoms: When I load a PDF into Acrobat, I get an "Invalid Type 3 font"
error.

Steps to reproduce:
1. I process the following file with the command "latex grs.tex"

\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[greek,english]{babel}
\selectlanguage{english}
\begin{document}
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

\greektext
\textgreek{ABCDEFGHIKJLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ}

\textgreek{abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz}
\end{document}

2. I process the .dvi file with the command "dvipdfm grs.dvi"

What I'm trying to accomplish: To enter Greek text in a document (rather
than variables in an equation).

I installed MiKTeX from miktex.org today. I'm running XP with lots of disk
space and memory.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide to me.
