anyway, \usepackage{textcomp} followed by \textcopyright might provide
a reasonable guess of \texttrademark...and it would be right.

i don't much care for the look of it, myself, and might be tempted to
use

  \textsuperscript{TM}

or possibly

  \textsuperscript{\textsc{tm}}
