I have a half-done package that allows you to specify an arbitrary
path around a page and text gets filled to the lines you specify.  It
mostly works, but there are some glitches that I haven't had the time
to work on for a few months.  That is, it works ok on some documents,
some of the time.   (Here's an example of its effect:

It would take tex-hacking to finish the package, but you are welcome to
what I've got so far, if it would help.

There's also a package called fig2sty, I think, that uses output from
the xfig program to create pages with arbitrary shapes on them.
