I think you need to provide a minimal example of a document that 
comes out the way you describe. And a discription of how you 
compile and print the document as well. How does the document 
below print on your system?

\begin{document}
\textcolor{white}{\colorbox{black}{\(a^2+b^2=c^2\)}}
