Doing a little research before asking here is always a good idea.
However, I think that this mailing list is appropriate for people who
do not know where to start searching.

There are some more or less severe bugs even in documentation provided
by TeX distributions and there are books which still describe ancient
versions of LaTeX.  And if you ask google, you probably get old stuff
as well.

Hence I think that it is not a bad idea to ask here.

Indeed.  The HTML stuff is good for nothing.

However, I don't know whether the mail programs introduced all the
blank lines inside paragraphs.  I wouldn't wonder if they are produced
by EXP (I don't know this program).  What the program produced does
not make TeX users happy.
