Hi Phil,

    I have been trying to find the source file of Metafont program, or a
    supplier from which to obtain the program. I have looked thru many
    search lists without success. Is there asource available? I am
    using PCTeXV5.

Metafont has always been a standard part of all free TeX systems
(invoked via "mf"), and I would have thought it was part of PCTeX, too.
I suggest contacting PCTeX about that, hopefully they can just point you
to it without further work on your part.

In any case, the original source code for Metafont is mf.web, available
at http://www.ctan.org/systems/knuth/mf/, but that is very far from an
Metafont setup that can actually do anything. If you do want to install
a working Metafont, my suggestion (for Windows) would be the miktex
distribution, info at http://www.miktex.org. You'd want to install it
in a completely separate directory from PCTeX.

Hope this helps,
Karl
