I'm not actually a Prof (although I am a PhD) and everyone calls me
Peter :-)

But I've been trying to educate dailykos readers about statitsics and
math, since I find those 
topics appealing.  My latest, and the one that prompted me to ask about
using LaTeX, is 
at http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/7/14/9474/52367, and was about
prime numbers (when
originally posted, it looked even worse, and add errrors that I didn't
notice were introduced by
converted from a .doc file.....like 1/2  turned into 12.
