Hi there,
  1. After running LaTeX, the log of my document, a book, has 20 pages of the following:

  "Overfull \hbox (5.7232pt too wide) in paragraph at lines 3--13
  \OT1/cmr/m/n/12 Aus-tralian Com-mu-nity. It presents the first doc-u-men-ta-tio
  n of a newly emerged
   []

  [9]
  Underfull \vbox (badness 10000) has occurred while \output is active []"

  2. I'm using Winedit. The Main page looks like this: "\documentclass[12pt,a4paper]{book}
  \usepackage{gb4e}
  \usepackage{natbib}
  \usepackage{amssymb,amsmath,epsfig}
  \bibpunct{(}{)}{;}{a}{ }{,}
  \newcommand{\HRuledick}{\rule{\linewidth}{4pt}}
  \newcommand{\HRule}{\rule{\linewidth}{1.5pt}}
  \newcommand{\HRulemittel}{\rule{\linewidth}{1pt}}
  \newcommand{\HRuleduenn}{\rule{\linewidth}{0.5pt}}
  \linespread{1.6}
  \setcounter {secnumdepth}{4}
  \setcounter{tocdepth}{4}
  \begin{document}
  \renewcommand{\contentsname}{Table of Contents}
  \tableofcontents
  \input name1.tex
  \input name2.tex
  \input name3.tex
  \input name4.tex
  \input name5.tex
  \input name6.tex
  %Included for Gather Purpose only:
  %input "name7.bib"
  \bibliographystyle{plainnat}
  \bibliography{name7}
  \end{document}"

  Then each file starts with "\chapter{chname}".

  But when I run Latex, it says:
  "! LaTeX Error: Missing \begin{document}
  and:
  l.23 %
         Fix for dvips and xdvi versions that can uncompress
  ?
  )
  Package graphics Info: Driver file: dvips.def on input line 80.
   (D:\texmf\tex\latex\graphics\dvips.def
  File: dvips.def 1999/02/16 v3.0i Driver-dependant file (DPC,SPQR)
  )
  ! Missing number, treated as zero.
  <to be read again>
                     $"

  Please help! But please reply with very explicit instructions, as I do not have a computer background.
  thankyou
  carmel
