[texhax] figure/table order

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to override the rather sensible ordering of figures and tables?  A friend of mine wants to put all of his figures and tables at the end of each chapter, with all figures first, then all tables - preferably in corresponding \section{}'s.

Is this possible?  Are there any packages/macros that might be useful?
