[texhax] Question about the overcite package

Sounds like you want something like \citeasnoun{} or \possessivecite{}, but with the reference tag number rather than the author/date:

\renewcommand{\citeasnoun}[1]
{Ref.~\citetag{#1}}

where the `\citetag' parameter is the variable that contains the reference tag number, but no idea what that variable is actually called. Does anyone know?

Novak.

=> I'm not sure if it works in general or is specific to the harvard package
If not it probably wouldn't be hard to write a macro

Hi,

I'm using the overcite package to get superscripted references. But
sometimes within the paper, I want to refer to a reference wihtout it
being superscript.

For example, in general, I would write, "This agrees with previous
experiments in bla bla bla," and want that to be followed by a superscript
number for the reference with the previous experiments. But every so
often, I want to say, "This curve is a fit to the data in Ref. x", and I
don't want the x to be a superscript... Is there a way to do this (other
than manually)?

Thanks,

Julie
