[texhax] Stuck at square one

Greetings,

I want to use (La)TeX, etc.

With Safari, I navigate to  http://www.tug.org/mactex/

Either via the "MacTeX-2007" link or the corresponding "Download" button, I
set the browser URL field to load or reload the page

ftp://ctan.cms.math.ca/tex-archive/systems/mac/mactex/MacTeX.dmg

and nothing happens.

What was I supposed to do?
