Just like your post, eh? ;) Seriously, HTML mail on mailing lists is
probably the worst thing after spam and trolls, and it's actually bad
for you, not the list -- many people won't bother picking out the
message out of the useless HTML tags.  So disabling HTML mail in your
mailer, at least when posting to mailing list, will do you a great
deal of good.

All that said, there should not be many HTML posts on texhax (at least
I haven't come across too many).  If you do get one (and your mailer
cannot filter out HTML tags), you might try saving it to some file,
say, file.html (together with all the HTML tags), and then opening it
in a Web browser.  Hopefully, the browser will interpret the tags for
you and you will be able to copy-and-paste the TeX code from the post.
(At least this works for me with Firefox/Iceweasel.)
