Richard Koch has changed MacTeX to work with Leopard.[1] If bandwidth  
is not a big issue for the OP, I would suggest to download the latest  
version from

http://www.tug.org/mactex/

The packages contain a slightly modified simpdftex script, which will  
be necessary in Leopard when you typeset using TeX and Ghostscript mode.
