[texhax] make minipage table in figure appear in lot?

(i think this is for me) : after sleeping on it, perhaps NOT both... i 
guess i meant if i can get both i can remove one.. (vide infra)

its a table of things that appear in the figure... somehow i started using 
minipage to do it.  "it just works"... BARELY....
