I've installed TeXLive in Mac OS and Linux, but for Windows I think  
proTeXt

http://www.tug.org/protext/

is really easier. Also, as it is based on MikTeX

http://www.miktex.org/

you get frequent updates via MikTeX updater.

Talking about commercial products, there is also Scientific Word/ 
Workplace, which can read directly LaTeX files:
