[texhax] Diagrams in tex

I recommend the xy-pic package, but your student might also be interested
in looking at the diagxy package that you can find on my ftp site:
ftp.math.mcgill.ca/pub/barr/diagxy.zip
(it also appears unzipped as diagxy.tex and diaxydoc.tex) is a front end
that makes it much easier to use (and also cleans up a couple of problems
with the xymatrix package that nearly every use of xypic uses).

Incidentally, the requester seems to be under the impression that these
packages are specific to windows or to linux; they are not. The
underlying tex engine has to be compiled for every OS, but the packages
are simply text files that work on everything. Both xypic and diagxy even
work on plain tex as well as latex (which is not true of most packages).
