[texhax] Request for Help

dear jean-guy,

Hi, I am new to LaTex and although I have managed to use LaTex for short
articles and reports, I have now experiencing problems to insert images
    (graphics) in LaTex documents.

On Febuary 22, I forwarded a request for help regarding this problem, but
so far I did not get an answer.

that's odd, since i've seen four responses to
your inquiry.

messages sent to support at tug.org automatically
get forwarded to the list texhax at tug.org, and
are answered through that list. sometimes
responses aren't sent directly back to the
original sender, only to the list. but for
three of the four responses mentioned above,
your address was cc'ed. (if you really
didn't receive them, and they didn't end
up in your "spam bucket", please ask me off
list, and i'll forward them.)

Is this because I am not a member of the TUG? If I should join the user
group would I optain this kind of support?

it's not necessary to join tug (although we
always welcome new members), but it might
be worthwhile to sign up for the texhax list.
go to
  http://tug.org/mailman/listinfo/texhax
and follow the instructions.

regarding your original question, my reaction
was that you need to specify \graphicspath
*before* \includegraphics (otherwise, how
will tex know where to look?). also, the
presence of a space in the path name may
cause a problem. the earlier replies had
other comments regarding the form of the
path name; since i don't use the same
system you do, i can't address those.

Thank you for your kind assistance.
