[texhax] Help with error

I am not that tex savvy and rely on what is given me by the style files. Evidently I didn't include the correct style file and bst files. They are attached here. I do use the Windows XP environment and am using PCTex. I do not understand LaTex enough to decompose the styles files that are given to me. I no longer use this on a regular basis and thus do not have my reference guide. I apologize for bothering all of you with this but I do appreciate all your help. I just don't understand what I can do (from a layman non-tex regular user) to fix this.

But THANK YOU to all of you who are trying to help (and I am sorry about not including these files - I thought I had included all of them).

Hello
there are redifinitions of \bibitem in ap-book-har.sty (lines 631, 635 and 751).
I must look into them a bit more.

But for the error message - if I'm right - it would be enough to put an
[in]visible character before the first item in the bibitem list.

And I do not understand the entries in you log-file:
Missing character: There is no ´ in font ptmr7t!
Missing character: There is no - in font ptmr7t!

Would you be able to change the font to txfonts?
(Replace mathptmx by txfonts on line 1482 in ap-book975x65.cls). And have
a further look at the log-file for "Missing character"?

I wonder which OS you are using? Looks like windows, but I might be wrong.

For Windows the start of the main-file should look like this:

\documentclass[fleqn]{book} %this is one of my works, just forget it
\usepackage[T1]{fontenc}
\usepackage[ansinew]{inputenc}
% correct fuer Windows-OS
%
\usepackage{amsmath}
\usepackage[varg]{txfonts}

I will have a deeper look when the time allows. Sorry at the moment.
