I whipped up the example:

   http://www.amrita-ebook.org/tex-group/tts-sync.pdf

which recites a bunch of names grabbed from:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:English_scientists

The PDF includes the AMRITA source I wrote plus the resultant TeX it 
generates. So you should be able to back out a standalone TeX 
example should it resemble what you want. To do this you'll need to 
examine the attachments of the attachment AMRGI1.pdf .
