[texhax] 4 'minipages' to fit on one A4-size paper for a booklet. -- How to do that?

You could try the signature option aswell. It is meant to rearrange pages
for printing on bigger paper.

Perhaps you could even combine that somehow with the doublepage option. As
you are creating A6 songbook, you have to at least cut in two (and then
fold). Using the doublepage option it might be possible to print two
songbooks together, stack all the papers as they come out of the printer,
cut once, and the fold without the need to rearrange.

I did not test that, but it sounds very useful to me.
