An alternative: if the Vietnamese and English texts do not fit
in one line together, then the English text starts the second line
without the tilde and then uninterupted by dots, e.g.:

1. Bánh phồng tôm ~ Prawn crackers ........................ £1.00

30. Gà xào tương đen ...................................... £6.25
Stir-fried chicken with chilli and black bean sauce

Possible disadvantages:
* The first line might look to "thin", because the
Vietnamese text is usually much shorter than the English text.
* There might be the need for a third line, if the English text
does not fit in one line.

Yours sincerely
