Dear all,

I have two .bib files that I want to combine:

(1) References.bib

@article{Botta-Dukat2005,
         Abstract = {null},
         Author = {Botta-Duk\'at, Zolt\'an and Wilson, J. B.},
         Comment = {doi: 10.1658/1100-9233(2005)16[533:RQEAAM]2.0.CO;2},
         Issn = {1100-9233},
         Journal = {JVS},
         Month = oct,
         Number = {5},
         Pages = {533--540},
         Publisher = {International Association of Vegetation Science},
         Timestamp = {2010.09.01},
         Title = {Rao's quadratic entropy as a measure of functional
diversity based on multiple traits},
         Url = {http://dx.doi.org/
10.1658/1100-9233(2005)16[533:RQEAAM]2.0.CO;2},
         Volume = {16},
         Year = {2005},
         Bdsk-Url-1 = {http://dx.doi.org/10.1658/1100-9233(2005)16%5B533:RQEAAM%5D2.0.CO;2
}}

(2) Journals.bib

%Journal short strings manually defined
@STRING(JVS = "J. Veg. Sci.``)

I am including them both in a paper
\bibliography{../../work/ReferencesJabRef,../../work/Journals}

And I get the following error:

Database file #2: ../../work/Journals.bib
Illegal end of database file---line 2 of file ../../work/Journals.bib
  : @string(jvs = "J. Veg. Sci.``)
  :
I'm skipping whatever remains of this command

I wonder what is wrong with it? Anyone experienced it?

Many thanks,
Olga
