  Hello!
  I have encountered a problem trying to process a .tex-file containing
the command "\headline" with the 'pdflatex' from my TeX Live
distribution. The following error message occurs in the log file:

    ! Undefined control sequence.
    l.6 \headline
                 ={Headline}
    The control sequence at the end of the top line
    of your error message was never \def'ed. If you have
    misspelled it (e.g., `\hobx'), type `I' and the correct
    spelling (e.g., `I\hbox'). Otherwise just continue,
    and I'll forget about whatever was undefined.

  The same happens when I try to use "\footline".
  I searched a lot over the Internet, and as far as I understood,
these are both the plain TeX commands, but I was given a LaTeX
template containing such commands which I don't know how to process
and haven't found a clear answer to this question.

  I'll appreciate any suggestions and advices.
  Thanks in advance.

    Vladimir
