[texhax] Does anyone use the full-sized \prime?

Is there any use to the full-sized (i.e., not superscripted) \prime
glyph?  The only situation in which I can imagine using it would be
something like this:

    In the expression $\mathbf{M}^{\mathrm{T}\prime}$,
    the superscript $\mathrm{T}\prime$ means ...

This is very contrived, but does it happen in real life?

(Context for my question:  Will Robertson is considering adding a sanity
check to unicode-math to warn about \prime being used outside the
context of a superscript; see
<https://github.com/wspr/unicode-math/issues/223>.  I'm wondering if
there might be a drawback to such a feature.)
