[texhax] clash between a class file & the abbrevs package

It would happen automatically by using \@setfontsize.

I shudder seeing all the baselineskips being set with 
flexible glue.

Anyway, a new relsize will now fall back to a method of
setting the \fontsize without using the standard commands
like \small, when the appropriate such sizing command 
cannot be determined.
