What's missing in TeX Live?  AFAIK MiKTeX installs all these packages
in dribs and drabs while TeX Live runs out-of-the-box immediately.

I doubt that buttons are helpful at all though they fit perfectly the
Windows paradigm "I don't want to know what I'm doing".  LaTeX is
easy, at least unless LaTeX users are bothered with plain TeX
documentation which isn't helpful at all.  Why did you mention
gentle.pdf?  Do you really think that someone who never used TeX
before wants to re-invent the wheel again and again?  It would be more
helpful if you point people to LaTeX documentation.
