This simply means that you didn't install both systems at the same
time.  Things change on CTAN daily and TL is always up-to-date.

On most 64 bit systems you can run 32 bit programs as well, you just
have to adapt PATH.  If you install TL with binaries for amd64 *and*
i386, then both share the same [font] packages.  There is definitely
no difference in respect of packages.  There is only one TEXMF tree.

If you installed TL from tug.org, just run "tlmgr update --all" on
both systems.  Unless you have a customized installation, both
installations should be identical then.

If you are using a TL distribution provided by your Linux distributor,
it's possible that amd64 and i386 packages are different because they
are compiled by different maintainers and thus not created at the same
time.  They just reflect a different state on CTAN.

As far as TeX Live itself is concerned, it always behaves equal on all
platforms.  There are definitely no different font packages for
different platforms, this would be unmaintainable anyway.
