Ghostscript problem in the MacTeX 2023

Hi Sarthak,
great. Everything should be functional, then. Concerning LaTeXit, I rarely—if ever—use it, but there should be a configuration panel where you can tell it where to find the utilities as well as the main binaries. (I’ve had to do something similar, because I install TeXLive under /opt/texlive and brew stuff under /opt/brew, as I’ve never liked their takeover of /usr/local. So for me their switching to /opt/homebrew is a plus, but this is an OT discussion.)

Yes, it looks like the trouble (as Richard Koch of MacTeX pointed out to me in a recent email) is the result of brew changing directories for Apple Silicon devices, and still downloading Ghostscript as a dependency and not via MacTeX pkg (as you point out).

This results in the MacTeX dmg being installed and it is not a brew installation of TeXLive. Looking at the cask formula, it looks like you end up with the a standard MacTeX installation with the GUI utilities but without Ghostscript, which is installed (by dependency) via brew.
