Another powerdot problem ...

I am trying to include a figure (from a *.pdf file) in a powerdot slide.
I get an error:

> LaTeX Error: Cannot determine size of graphic in keg.pdf (no
> BoundingBox).

I have done some web-searching and have found nothing enlightening.

I have attached a reproducible example in the file "demo.tex".  I have
also attached the pdf file that I am trying to include ("keg.pdf").

I tried to process the file as follows:

    latex demo
    dvips demo
    ps2pdf demo.ps

The error was issued after the first line (so the other two are not
actually relevant).

This error does not occur if the document class is "article".
See the attached file "check.tex".

Can anyone help me out of this bind?  Thanks.
